The cloister Surb-Khach

Cloister in adjacent Cafa (Feodosia), for example, was recorded the history of armenians - origins from city Ani. The unique manuscript books, created in Solkhat, are stored in institute of ancient manuscripts Matendaran (Yerevan).
One of four cloisters, existed in these locations, - Surb-Khach - is located in is dense overgrowth forest canyon near by mount. It is an architect complex of buildings, constructed in different time. The cloister during many centuries was centre of spiritual armenians attraction, holything, as a pilgrim location. The armenian colonies had not as territorial borders, as their own centralized management, and administrative communication with metropoly.
All this replaced the church, which spirituallly united armenians, due to that they preserved on alien land the native language, customs, literature, religion. In different time in Surb-Khach the many firures of armenian cultures lived and worked. Now it is the monument of state significance.
