Bivouacs
The book makes an attempt to generalize the experience of organizing and equipping bivouacs. It tells about the choice of their place in summer and winter in different regions and climatic conditions, about spending the night without tents in winter and summer on the plain and in the mountains. Various types of fires, fire equipment, designs, installation and equipment of tents, sleeping bags, kerosene stoves, and autoclaves are described. Place is given to safety in bivouacs.
The book reflects the experience of the author, a master of sports in tourism, as well as the experience of his fellow hikers; The literature used is listed at the end. This book can therefore be considered a review book. It is intended for a wide range of nature and tourism lovers.
The author dedicates the book to the memory of ALEXANDER HANANOVICH SINELNIKOV, a tourism instructor and leader of hikes at the Moscow City Central Tourist Club.
