TWO WORDS TO THE READER

Getting to know your native land, all long and long journeys begin at the threshold of your home, in the vicinity of your city, town, village - with small weekend hikes. It is in them that the formation of a human tourist, versatile and harmoniously developed, a true citizen and patriot of his homeland begins. Significant, but evenly distributed over time, physical activity inherent in tourism helps to strengthen the health of the tourist, and life in nature allows you to acquire useful skills and abilities - quickly make a fire, cook food, navigate correctly, move through a dense forest, off-road, sail a boat or raft along rapids rivers, spend the night in the forest in winter, successfully withstand bad weather. During a tourist trip, conscious discipline and perseverance are developed, the ability to overcome difficulties in team work - qualities that are so necessary for everyone in social life. Tourism and hiking, like nothing else, satisfy the desire for novelty, unusualness, search, romance, self-knowledge and personal self-improvement.

But it all starts with the first step - a weekend hike, which immediately poses a lot of practical questions to the future traveler: what to dress and put on, how to choose a backpack, what to take with you, where and with whom to go for your first walk? And in order to decide on a two-day hike with an overnight stay, you need to overcome a certain psychological barrier. But real tourism begins with overnight stays in a tent. And organizing a two-day hike is much more serious than organizing a one-day hike without an overnight stay. No fewer questions arise for those who have already mastered Saturday and Sunday hikes and are going on a multi-day trip...

The walking time of a typical working day on a tourist trip is six to seven hours; Enthusiasts, however, walk for eight to nine hours. They say that there are fanatics who “resist” for all ten hours. There’s no other way: after all, you still need to find a parking lot, set up camp, cook food, rest, sleep a little, look around, and finally communicate with your comrades. Therefore, except for running time, all the rest of the time is standing. This includes small rest stops and lunch stops, that is, most of the day. Hence the conclusion that standing on a hike is no less important than walking.

Where to stand? How to stand? How long to stand? These are the questions that need to be answered when choosing a parking lot every day - large or small

To the question “how?” The answer is laconic - “good.” Good standing! - this is the main motto of the tourist trip.

What content is put into the motto “Stand well?” The book offered to the reader makes an attempt to answer this not so simple question. When working on the manuscript, the author naturally relied on his own experience, the experience of his fellow hikers and literature materials, a partial list of which is given at the end. In particular, the motives of several fragments of the book by G. Aronov and others “On a kayak for health” were used.

The material in the book is therefore to some extent a review.

The author hopes that the information and some tips given in the book will be useful for many travellers, primarily for beginners.
