Polish Norway

Video about the tour to Polish Tatras, June 2016

My first acquaintance with the Polish Tatras made a huge impression on me. Just a few hours from the border of Ukraine, such large and severe mountains appear to be “growing”. They look like the Alps, the Caucasus and my beloved Norway at the same time.

We then climbed Giewont innocently - along the longest route, without using the cable car and with clearly unnecessary branches on the route. Later I figured out the priorities and changed the content of this day of the hike. For the better, of course :)

Szwinnica is our first real peak in Poland. It was she who made us understand what to prepare for on the Eagle Trail and pushed our ladies to the decision to have a day out.

The Trail of Eagles made us all nervous. At that time we had neither helmets nor crampons, and we passed some snowy areas with some risk. But everything worked out, and the experience gained greatly helped in the following hikes in the Tatras.

On the way to the five lakes the weather deteriorated slightly, but after yesterday's extreme weather it did not matter. It's nice to walk on the ground again!

P.S. I collected these videos in one article 4 years after that fun hike. And you know, it was damn nice to review it all. Fatigue and fears were long forgotten, only pleasant memories of the new country remained.
