Contrary to expectations, the night in the Thor forest turned out to be the coldest of the entire trek. The temperature dropped to +1, and on some tents the heavy dew turned to ice. And this is at an altitude of only 100 meters. This didn’t happen even when we spent the night at a kilometer altitude under the pass... uh... better remembered under the pseudonym “where there was horizontal rain”))Or maybe it’s all about the proximity of the glacier? Under the cover of night, the cold flowed into the valley from Eyjafjallajökull (the same volcano and glacier of the same name) and covered our defenseless tents. I wonder if the neighbors in the camper are also frozen? The beige thing on their roof is a folding tent.
Thank God, our next crossing is equipped with a wonderful bridge on wheels - you won’t have to climb into icy water with your feet that haven’t yet been warmed up. #iceland
