When trekking in Nepal, most tourists travel along the route in groups. I include large commercial “teams” and couples and singles accompanied by guides and porters. But there are also tourists whose loneliness is absolute. They go and rest alone. So is this Chinese student (pictured) - during the day he walked a double “dose” of kilometers, and in the evening in the dining room he sat on the sidelines and began to read a book. He didn’t run away from our questions, but he didn’t keep up the conversation either.
