In 1964 on Nachimov square there was constructed a Memorial wall, that consisted of 19 memorial rolls of honour, with the names of units of Primorskaya army, ships of Black sea fleet and factories that took part in defence of the city of Sevastopol in 1941 - 1942 (Architectors Artyuhov, Kalinkov, Sdobnyakov). In 1967 according to the project of architect Fialko and sculptor Yakovlev 7 more granite plates with the names of Heroes of the Soviet Union were founded. The whole composition was united with relief image of the warrior, repulsing enemy"s attack.
