Astanin Estuary is the state ornithological reserve and natual monument (1974) in the Northern coast of Kerch peninsula. The shores of the estuary, overgrown by reed, attract birds of passage and nesting aquatic birds. Red ducks - Ogar, are of great interest. This is the only place in the Ukraine for these rare birds to build nests. There are: grey crane, swan-shipun there. Sandy beaches are wonderful too. In combination to healing mug and mineral waters they represent spa virgin soil.
