Kazantip cape is a monument of the nature (1964), it is a nature reserve (1980) of the Northern part of the Kerch hilly and mountainous area. Kazantip has the likeness with an annular reef-atoll, resembling typical coral reefs and rising above the sea for 107 metres. The coast of Kazantip is greatly indented and it resembles a gigantic pinion. The nature of Kazantip is very interesting from all points of view - geomorphological, botanical, zoological ones. How many forms the sea has produced in the abrupt shores of Kazantip: grottos, shelters and arched vaults!
A bit of imagination let you see a lot of things: prehistoric animals, ridge-roofed peaks and other extraordinary figures. The picturesqueness of the coast is supplemented with vegetable cover adopted to local steppe conditions - you can see thickets of wild rose, hawthorn, blackthorn, elder, jasmine, blackberry just on the rocks. Flocks of birds fly together on Kazantip. It is especially rich in waterfouls and they find a lot of food here: the underwater world by the shores is very rich.
The shores of Kazantip are charming. And the air is special here, it is rich with smells of the sea and steppe.
