Nature monument (1969), state reservation (1974). The canyon was created by the river Kacha which made a hole in the mountain range. Kacha Canyon is 150 metres wide and it is hard to get to. The picturesque towers - capes tower above sheer rocky slopes of the canyon, there are immense grottos - niches at their feet. The sites of primitive man with such things as, flint tools and bones of the extinct animals have been found in the grottos. This monument dating from the Quaternary period of the Crimean foothills relief development convinces of the strong destructive and creative force of fluid water.
