Reviews about the hikes

We try in every possible way to encourage the literary and artistic talents of the participants in our hikes. In the section "Reviews of tourists" we publish all the reviews, reports, diaries and videos sent to us about hikes organized by OutdoorUkraine.com. Moreover, we give an advance discount to tourists who express a desire to write a report upon returning from a trip.

How to get a discount?

To get a discount, you need to send us your review with a photo after the trip, and we will return the discount amount to your card.

The discount for hiking in the Carpathians is usually 10% of the tour cost. On trips abroad, the discount for a review is smaller; check with the administrator for the amount.

What should I write about in my review?

Anything you want. The main thing is that it has at least some relation to the hike in which you took part.

It is not at all necessary to create a detailed diary with timing of each day of the journey. You can simply tell about your impressions, about the emotions overwhelming you after the trip. Or, on the contrary, you can write a dry and sober collection of recommendations for tourists who are yet to visit this route.

Probably everyone will be interested to know how hard (easy), beautiful (dark), interesting (monotonous) it was for you on the hike. Tell us about the guide, whether you liked him and why. Share your experiences and thoughts regarding the choice of clothing and equipment.

How to publish your review?

At the moment, the technical capabilities of the site do not allow visitors to independently publish articles on its pages. In order for your work to appear on the site, I must place it there (Kirill Yasko - author and chief administrator of OutdoorUkraine). To do this, you must send me your work by email (see design requirements). I'm very busy with work, so don't be surprised if it takes some time from the moment you receive a review to its publication.

Requirements for registration.

Write the report in a regular text editor (for example, Word or Notepad). Try to have at least two pages (about 600 words). It’s good if your report has a clear structure - paragraphs, sections, introduction, signature, etc.

There is no need to insert photographs into the text. Send them in a separate letter. The optimal photo size is no more than 1000 pixels wide and 800 pixels high. If you don’t know what pixels are, don’t worry, send the photo as it is. It would be nice to come up with a caption for each frame.

I reserve the right to format the text and arrange illustrations at my discretion. I do not make any changes to the texts.

If you decide to publish your review first on another site (on your blog, LiveJournal or somewhere else), and then just send me a link to it, then I will not object to this on one small condition. Your article should contain a link to our website (preferably to the route you took).
