This report is about the tour: Wild Gorgany
Report on the trip to the Carpathians “Wild Gorgans” September 06-11, 2009.
When you are in the Carpathians for the first time, and we were for the first time, any route will become a discovery of these mountains, and you will definitely want to return there. Our itinerary was flexible and interesting. I especially remember the day of passing through a windfall, wild and very wild places in the forest without a path. It went down in the history of the hike as the “Hurray for Forest” day! Everyone received full impressions and adrenaline, in fact, then we went to the Carpathians.
By participants.
The group consisted of 12 people:
- Glory, who doesn’t know him!
- Andrey, Kyiv;
- Artem, Kyiv;
- Anna and Sveta Odessa;
- Olya H. and Olya S., Moscow;
- Yulia, Seryozha and Nikita, Balashikha Moscow. region;
- Volkmar and Dorothea, Stuttgart, Germany.
According to the weather and nature.
I’ll say right away that we were very lucky with the weather. It was September and in 6 days there was not a single rain, always sun and a slight breeze. Nature greeted us at the end of summer: green meadows, green trees. When collecting lingonberries, blueberries, and blackberries, we often competed with local residents to see who could collect the most and faster)).
The views from the peaks are unforgettable and alluring.

The locals are friendly and welcoming; at one of the parking lots they gave us all fresh milk in the morning and evening almost free of charge. Special thanks to Andrey.
The climb to Mt. Sivulya was especially memorable - it was the unity of the group with delight and happiness!
For clothes and shoes.
“There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes.” Therefore, it is always necessary to have spare shoes, I especially realized this after my foot slipped ankle-deep into a stream while crossing it. The cap and jacket also came in handy. Advice: it’s better to ask 5 times what to take with you and what the weather will be like than to carry extra cargo for 6 days. The paths were sometimes interesting and entertaining.
By people.
Bad people really don’t go hiking, and those who are a little harmful or don’t understand the general mood go to bed early! Therefore, in the evening around the fire there is complete mutual understanding and fun, which was greatly facilitated by the game “There is Contact”. We laughed until we cried and fell off the logs. The last day of the hike was marked by an exclusive drink from a glass container, brought to the last overnight stay from Odessa itself - well done Anya)
Our trip was a success! Thank you to all of us and to you who walked and got there!
