The most delicious cherry plum grows in the village of Bashtanovka, Bakhchisarai region of Crimea. This is exactly the conclusion reached by a group of expert tasters who inspected fruit trees on the way from Bakhchisarai to Yalta. The most delicious cherries were recorded in the village of Mashino, and plums - in Sokolinoe.
For those who don't understand, I'll explain:
Our tourist group walked along the route "Bakhchisarai-Yalta". There was plenty of food, but as always on a hike, I wanted something fresh, namely fruit. Accordingly, we did not leave a single fruit tree unattended. We tore and ate everything. But especially a lot of cherry plum was eaten. The red cherry plum was a little sour, but the yellow one exceeded all expectations.
Cherry plum is one of the wild ancestors of the common domestic plum. In Crimea it is found both wild and “domesticated” in numerous gardens.
