Hiking trips on March 8, 2008

🗓 2008-02-06↻ updated 2021-08-14

This year, in connection with the celebration of International Women's Day March 8, four days off are expected - March 5,6,7,8, 2008. This is an excellent reason to go on a short weekend hike in the Carpathians.

In March, it is still winter in the Carpathians - the mountains are covered with snow, and at night the temperature drops below zero. To make hiking on March 8 more comfortable, we planned the routes so that all overnight stays were in huts (kolybas). They are usually equipped with a “potbelly stove” where you can warm up and dry your clothes after a hard day of walking.

To take part in the hike, simply submit an application (green button below). After this, you will need to buy tickets to Ivano-Frankivsk and consult with us on the choice of clothing and equipment.

As you can see, in 2016 two trips are planned for the March weekend:

  • White Elephant - 3-day hike to the ruins of the Polish observatory on Mount Pop Ivan Chernogorsky
  • Winter Grofa - 4-day hike in Gorgany (Osmolody district) with a climb to the peaks of Grofa and Parenki
