Wind of change
🗓 2007-07-26
Today I woke up in the middle of the night from strange sounds. Someone was knocking on the pot with a stick. After rubbing my eyes a little, I made out a female figure bending over the fire. She was the one thrashing the cauldron. I was reluctant to understand the reasons and I dozed off again. Two hours later I woke up again. This time from the wind. I slept on the grass, hidden behind one of the tents, and therefore did not feel any gusts of wind. But it was impossible not to hear the deafening “rustle” of the forest. The trees literally bent under the blows of the elements and I was glad that I decided to stop in an open clearing and not in a beech forest.
We began to assemble the camp and only a few hours later I accidentally compared two incidents of that night: a strange rumbling of the boiler and a sudden change in the weather (before that it had been calm for a week). Didn't our neighbor code this wind? Or she works as Mary Poppins and thus simply called her Mary Poppin taxi. In any case, thanks to her for getting rid of the heat.
