The energy there is special

🗓 2007

Review of a hike through the cave cities of Crimea in May 2007.

I'm already busy with work, the vacation has flown by. You asked for an opinion about the trip.
The route is really very interesting, I love all sorts of mysterious cave-type structures, especially if they were built by people in ancient times. The energy there is even special, it seems that some spirits live there :)

Sasha - well done! A very good person, golden character. It’s safe and calm with him. And an interesting interlocutor, he told us a lot of interesting things. Someone was constantly stomping next to him and listening to his stories. And personally, I thank him very much for the roof over my head :)

The first couple of days were a bit hard, of course, the muscles were sore, but then in terms of muscles it became easier, we got used to the stress. But my problems didn’t leave me there. I rubbed such calluses that it was terrible. Moreover, I had two pairs of fireman’s sneakers, so both of them rubbed terribly and on different feet. I never went hiking in them, but in ordinary life they never bothered me at all, I was of course upset that they let me down like that. I missed Mangup because of calluses, but I still had to leave someone at the camp as a guard, so I volunteered. I also managed to get sick, at least on the last day of the hike, when we were already heading to the sea. Well, there I collapsed on the shore with a fever and lay there all day while the others were sunbathing and swimming. But then she got better.

Why didn’t you say that it was you who led the group we met in Laspi? Sasha later told us that yes, it was Kirill.

Regarding the photos: I can’t send them, because I have film, and I don’t digitize the photos, but print them on paper. But the guys took very cool photos, we had people there who were really passionate about photography, with professional cameras :)

It's great that we were lucky with the weather! I even forgot my sweater, but I didn’t need it, and there was practically no rain, only drizzling one day.

I'll tell you a little about what I didn't like. There was too much alcohol. I don’t know, it’s unlikely that it will be possible to prohibit adults from drinking and getting drunk, but I decided for myself that I would only go on hikes with non-drinkers, and even better, with non-smokers. The previous times I went, we only had one small flask in case someone got sick.

Comment from the organizer (Kirill): Although I am ashamed to publish this, I am doing this to once again draw your attention to the issue of alcohol on a hike. There shouldn’t be any questions here: Alcohol is NOT ALLOWED while camping!

I appeal to the guys who were drinking then: If you don’t understand, then by your actions you let me down, your guide - Sasha, and most importantly - you offended your fellow hikers. Continuing in this spirit, you will quickly travel alone, because your fellow travelers will run away from you, especially girls.

And one more nuance - but this is my opinion. Although psychologists say that under one idea you can unite a maximum of 15 people so that there is a COMPANY, but it seems to me that for a hike the most ideal number is 4-6 people, no more. If there are more, “interest groups” are already formed. In our case, this is exactly what happened. Three small companies. Well, here are some small comments from me :)

Kirill, thank you so much for organizing this trip! In general, you are doing what is necessary and
incredibly interesting thing! Good luck and don't worry, the main thing is.

Maria Vasiltsova.
