As promised, I am writing about my impressions of the seminar on Russian hand-to-hand combat of the Kadochnikov style, which took place from March 8 to 11 in Massandra (Crimea). So as not to languish for a long time, I’ll say right away - I liked it. These four days were very eventful and at the same time relaxed. I finally found the Nikitsky Cleft, had fun at the Massandra Palace, visited the Uch-Kosh gorge twice, led our guys along the Botkin trail from the Glade of Fairy Tales to the Uchan-Su waterfall.
We woke up early and went to bed early, slept soundly and ate deliciously. Every morning we started with training on the seashore, with a smooth transition to water procedures. Yes, we swam in the Black Sea in March! We spent the whole day wandering through the surrounding mountains and gorges. And in the evening we managed to practice one more time.
When you hear “hand-to-hand combat seminar,” your imagination usually pictures something completely brutal - a kind of sports concentration camp, night push-ups in the mud, high-speed beatings and slaps on the head from a stern master. Everything that happened here was more reminiscent of a friendly get-together than a punch-up seminar. It sounds strange, but when five people beat one, he wriggled happily and was practically blissful.
An equally exciting procedure was the sexual massage. This is when you lie on the floor, and your partner gently massages you with his feet, stomps on your back, or, together with another tormentor, stretches your arms and legs. I understand that from the outside this may seem like an atrocity, but this will only be a superficial assessment, a stereotype. When you engage in hand-to-hand combat, the person who raises his hand at you stops causing aggression. She is no longer an enemy, but a partner, pointing out your weaknesses in a friendly manner and helping you overcome them.
I had a very good impression from training blindfolded. At first, completely helpless and literally lost in space, after only 10 minutes of interaction with an invisible enemy, a person gains new eyes. Every rustle, movement of air, shaking of the earth takes on meaning. Hands are like tentacles, scanning the space, creating a complete picture in your head. And now you are no longer hiding from unexpected blows, but you yourself go on the attack against a previously invisible opponent.
I could talk for a long time about the benefits of various types of physical activity for the development of the national economy. But I won’t abuse your precious time. Rather than read my philosophizing, do something. Movement is life.
