Baring of Fossil Flow of volcanic lava

Russian-language article (translation in progress).

"Baring of fossil flow of volcanic lava" is near the village Petropavlovka, Simferopol district. It is a monument of the nature of the Crimean foothill. About 150 - 160 million years ago the land in that place has been quaking because of the eruption of the underwater volcano. In the stone quarry a vertical wall of rope basalt lavas, the seize of which is 20x30 metres, is disclosed. Because of the orogenesis, the twisting and intertwisting as gigantic ropes lava's fossil flows have been put vertically, "on the head", and now that gives the opportunity for detailed study of conditions of their formation and bedding. Petropavlovka's baring of rope and ball lavas are the most rare scientific and cognitive range of the nature.
