It is a botanical reservation of national significance (1978) that is situated on the lower Karabi-yaila karst plateau of Crimean Main ridge. On the lime stone surface studded with swallow holes and basins stretches the mountain meadow steppe with rare trees and shrubs (beech, hornbeam, pear, hazel-nut, rose). In the reservation grows about 500 rare species of flora, there are over 50 species of medicinal herbs among them (haw-thorn, sweet clover, thyme, Saint-John's-wort, celandine, sage, etc.). Over 10 species are entered in the "Red Book".
