Kiyik-Koba

Kiyik-koba is a natural cave (discovered in 1947). It is situated in the valley of the river Zuya, to the south of the settlement of Zuya, at a distance of 8 kilometres. In 1924-25 the archaeologists discovered here the most antient holting place of the primeval people in the Crimea. 500 flint instruments, used, used 100 thousand years ago and bones of the extinct animals have been found here... Among the animals there were mammoth, rhinoceros, hyena, cave bull, wild horse, giant deer, bear, wild hoar, donkey (called dzigetay). Kiyik-koba is a scientific object of the universal importance.
