Equipment for hiking in the heat - 13 kg in a backpack

On a hike along the Western Lycian Way in October, I was overwhelmed by the weight of my fellow travelers’ backpacks. They carried 19-20 kg of clothing and equipment, although the weather conditions were so favorable that it was easy to get by with no equipment at all - instead of a tent and sleeping bag, take one jacket and leave it at that. But these are already extremes, but you can simply weigh the equipment and leave everything unnecessary at home (or in the hotel at the beginning of the route).

In order not to be unfounded, immediately after the hike I went up to the roof of our hotel in Antalya and recorded a video where I disassemble my hiking backpack and briefly talk about each piece of clothing and equipment (tent, sleeping bag, rug). This set of equipment weighs 13 kg (including food, gas and water!).

In addition, I am publishing a table with the exact weight of all these items. If you want to lighten your backpack, it makes sense to start by buying electronic scales and drawing up a similar table.

Well, Türkiye... Türkiye is hot. On the afternoon of October 23, at the time the video was recorded, it was 37 degrees Celsius.
