School disco in Nepal
🗓 2017-01-16
It happened in November 2016 in the Chitwan Nature Reserve in Nepal. Early in the morning, accompanied by a local guide, we went for a walk into the jungle. The idea was that wild animals usually lie in the shade during the day, but in the early morning (and evening) they are more active and there is a good chance of seeing someone. And here we are walking through the forest, listening to the singing of birds (and the steps of a tiger), when suddenly the dull hooting of a disco cuts through the morning haze. It’s clear that things weren’t going well with the animals this time.
But when we returned to the village, we learned that several buses with children had arrived from Kathmandu and Pokhara. They were taken on an excursion to the reserve and elephant nursery, and at the same time a picnic was organized for them with music and dancing. While we were waiting for our jeep, I went to this Nepalese school disco and filmed the local high school students dancing. Naturally, boys and girls hang out separately. The guys mostly tinker with the equipment and circle around the cauldrons of food, while it’s the girls who dance. In short, everything is like ours))
In March 2017 we are going to Nepal again and will visit Chitwan again. Join us!
