I was under the impression that Iceland's volcanoes tend to have very gentle slopes. They don't look at all like pictures from children's books. A typical Icelandic volcano is a huge flat plateau, along which a wide, wandering river of lava flows from time to time. The usual pyramids with pronounced craters, of course, also occur, but...By the way, for the first time during the trip we put up tents not in an organized campsite, but just like that - in a clearing by the river. There would also be a fire here, plus a couple of trees for comfort, and it would be an absolutely heavenly place. Please note that the Atlantic Ocean is visible in the photo with the sheep. #Iceland
