The owner of the boat (as well as the pier and micro-cafe), who gave us a lift on one of the sections of the route, asked me for a long time and persistently how to place an advertisement in the Ukrainian guide to the Lycian Way. To which I happily began to pour out free advice:
- keep it simple, stop writing kilometer-long complex sentences. We communicated via Google Translate and it was catastrophically unable to cope with the flowery speech of the Turk :)
- relax, you're already in the guidebook. First of all, you are mentioned by the great and terrible Kate Clow. Secondly, your boat is part of my program, and very, very many people copy it.
- tense up a little and make a normal path to your pier. There you just need to clear 15 meters of thorny bushes and nasty cobblestones. Plus, a simple sign that says “Boat, $4 per person” wouldn’t hurt.
- learn a couple more phrases in English. There is no way without this now.
