Turkish trekking agencies maintain a permanent base camp near Kachkar. Apparently the flow of tourists here is quite large, including hikers from Turkey itself (which is a huge rarity). We apparently managed to go wild in a few days in the mountains (where we didn’t meet a single group) and got a little tense from the abundance of people and rules. #Kachkar
