At the reception of our hotel in Kathmandu, in addition to the funny Tripadvisor certificate, there is a power outage schedule. The lights in Nepal's capital are turned off twice a day, for a total of 10 hours. This is a lot, so next to every more or less large establishment (hotel, restaurant, store) there is a backup generator.
