Moving from Machapuchare base camp to Annapurna base camp, we were forced to stop several times to change clothes and take sun protection measures. It became unbearably hot on a white snowy field under the bright sun. In the middle of this windless frying pan, one could easily get heatstroke or be exposed to radiation.
