Continuing the previous topic about high technologies in Nepal, I would like to mention the mobile Internet. It’s there, the coverage is good, and at many sections of the trek to Annapurna and Everest Base Camp the Internet works great. In Kathmandu and Pokhara, everything is generally excellent - 3G is reliably received, the speed is more than enough for conversations on Skype and Viber. Due to the fall of our currencies (hryvnia and ruble), Nepalese prices seem a little less microscopic than a year ago. 1 gigabyte of mobile Internet from the Ncell operator now costs 1000 rupees, i.e. 10 dollars.
