This report is about the tour: Polonina Borzhava
Story about the hike “Polonina Borzhava” Carpathians, August 23-25, 2014.
Thanks to our guide Max and the entire OutdoorUkraine team for organizing such an interesting hike as “Borzhava Polonina”. Incredibly beautiful places, great company, mountains, air, meeting new, interesting people, evening gatherings - it was a wonderful three-day trip!
The first day – meeting in Volovets and moving towards the “Great Verkh” mountain. The day turned out to be sunny and leisurely. In the evening - acquaintance and songs with a guitar, horror stories, stories, anecdotes and various stories from the guys around the fire.
Closer to midnight, it started to rain, which continued throughout the next day. Hoping that the weather would improve and the annoying rain would stop, we packed our tents and things and at about 10 am we wandered like hedgehogs in the fog to the “Great Top” mountain.
But water poured from the sky incessantly, strong wind and poor visibility + most of us were very cold and almost all of us had wet shoes by that time.. In general, all this influenced Maxim’s decision to change the route and go down to Podobovets, where we spent the night in a hotel house.
Finally, the tests of the second day with rain and wind are over, you can relax, drink hot tea, dry your things, chat. Max cooked mega delicious pilaf on the stove, and Igor delighted us throughout the entire hike with his guitar playing and songs! Thanks to him for that! )) A guitar on a hike is an irreplaceable thing .. even if it weighs 4 kg ;))
The next day, the whole company and without backpacks went for a walk. We climbed Mount Gimba and went down to the Shipot waterfall. It was wonderful, sunny weather!
Despite everything, the impressions were only the most positive, I liked the hike, I recommend it to everyone! Go to the mountains, get a boost of energy, good mood and be happy!
