Mountain karst of Crimea

It is the state geological nature reserve (1989). It is situated between the boundaries of Karabi mountain pasture, the highland plateau. All visible space of plateau is studdled with craters of different sizes and shapes, conglamerations of boulders and streched low ridges. There are thousands of karst caves and pits on the plateau of reserve mountain pasture, decorated with stalactites, stalagmites and delicate accumulating formations.
Many of underground uniques are named by such famous karst scientists and researchers as: Grozdetsky, Dublyansky, Kruber, Kastere, Mamin... The nature reserve plays an important role in accumulation and cleareness preservation of underground water of mountain Crimea.
